HOME JOB, A SCAM OR LEGITIMATE?

I was employed in the IT (Information Technology) field for years, working long and strange hours. Due to the nature of the industry, you would work sometimes on the site and sometimes at home. You were on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and that meant working nights, mornings and /or afternoons, weekends were included. When possible, I preferred working from home, mostly to avoid the long drives into the worksite. I could get more done from home and still have time with the family. With no one looking over my shoulder, I could work several things at once. So yes, working from home is a real opportunity.

Before I got laid-off, as the projects were finishing up, I started to look at working on the internet. There were so many directions to go as well as so many offers. Some were legit and some were scams. Almost always there is some ad that asks you to pay for a startup kit for stuffing envelopes or surveys. And they all seem to promise a high income daily, weekly or monthly, with money just pouring in. I believe that these opportunities cannot be for real and for good reason.

In the survey arena, you are told to just fill out a few surveys and it’s an instant payday. Think about that for a minute. Most survey deals require you to register with them and buy a startup kit or pay the associated registration fees. Then you download a list of companies to contact. You need to email them to get those companies to put you on their emailing list for future surveys that they might have. Hold on to your money.

And most of those list builders require you to fill out forms so they will know what surveys that you are interested in. And they all have terms and conditions that you must follow. Oh yes, the pay, sometimes it is a few dollars, sometimes a discount on a product or service, or even better they will put your name in the weekly drawing for a chance at getting a $100 or maybe a $1,000. Yes I have seen those offers myself and some send you an envelope stuffed full of discount coupons for grocery or household items. I know because I have received them in the mail.

If you really look around the internet and do some research, you will find legitimate companies that do NOT require a startup fee, just your email address to send you real surveys for a few dollars. Check out the ones you find to made sure they are legit. If it looks to good to true, then it is probably not a real deal. Avoid work from home that promises wealth, to get rich quick and a high income within a short period of time.
